Asif Luqman Qazi
Director of Foreign Affairs Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan
Asif Luqman Qazi is a social and political activist and a leading figure in Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and Milli Yakjehti Council. Born on October 25, 1967 in Peshawar Pakistan, he is the elder son of Late Qazi Hussain Ahmad (R.A), the former Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan.
He has closely worked with his father as his special Assistant for 15 years and has closely interacted with Islamic movements around the world during this period. He got his secondary education at Cadet College Kohat and Government College Lahore and two masters degrees in Economics from International Islamic University Islamabad and Boston University, USA. He has also worked as a lecturer at International Islamic University Islamabad.
He was also elected to the Central Shoora of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and has held several offices inside the party. He is also working as the Executive Director of Centre for Discussions and Solutions Islamabad-based an independent think tank. He keeps a close liaison with public in his hometown Nowshera in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and is a candidate for National Assembly seat NA-5 and Provincial Assembly seat PK-14 in the upcoming 2013 General Elections. He speaks four languages Pashto, Urdu, English and Arabic. He is married and has two sons and two daughters. After the death of his illustrious father, he is actively involved to serve the causes of Islam, Muslim Ummah and prosperity of Pakistan.
